Political Experts from Hollywood? PLEEZ

I am sick and tired of hearing from Hollywood on how our country should be run or how we should vote. Everyone in America has the right to express their opinion. However the Hollywood types take to it an extreme level. They viciously bad mouth anyone they don't like. They use there standing as a celebrity to try and tell use how we should think and vote. The media, who is is usually stuck up their rear ends are very happy to report anything negative they can. That's how they make money, with negative news. These are the very same people who can't even control their own lives. They stay in trouble with their personal and public lives. They don't live in the real world as do the rest of us. They are pampered and catered to all the time. Just because they are celebrities doesn't mean that they know anything about anything. Some of them don't know anything about acting. They don't have the same struggles that the average American lives with. In my opinion they are a bunch of uninformed spoiled brats. They have their own agenda and really don't care about the average person. If they were really concerned why don't they take some of their millions and put it where their mouth is. Why don't they give large amounts of their fortune to orphans, seniors in need, go into poor neighbor hoods and fix up homes. No, they would rather visit safe spots with a large escort of armed body guards. Then they say things like war is wrong but they say they support our troops. How many have gone to Iraq or Afghanistan to entertain the troops. I don't mean just one PR showing in a safe zone, I mean taking a risk like the troops are and go all over and do several shows. Remember Bob Hope? How about WWII when Celebs all did their best to help. I have the highest regards for Muhammad Ali who came to where I was when all those other chickens were running their mouths. Thank you Mr. Ali, you made me feel better and brought a little bit of home with you. I also got to watch him slap the snot out of our Camp Champ who was no Chump. What was I thinking, the Hollydeadwoods probably would lose money. Limo and mansion payments are high and have you priced a private jet lately. Bottom line they is don't really care, they don't really know anything but we should listen to them because they are celebrities. Hollywood do me a favor, just SHUT UP! You could of course PUT UP if have the the real courage and conviction to do so. I for one doubt it. There are a very few exceptions to this and I thank them. Some celebs do stand up for America and are punished for it. From the same people who are spouting about free speech. Hypocrites! God Bless America. I'm sorry (snicker, no I'm not) that God thing just made some Hollywood know nothing mad. I don't think there is an immortal God in Hollywood just the mortal ones.

African American ?

I do understand that honoring your heritage is important. I do no not understand in this day and time the term African American. We are all AMERICANS. There is no one in this country that is originally from here, to include the "native" American Indians. All of our ancestors came from somewhere else. America is the great melting pot.
Lets face it you are either an American citizen or you aren't, you can't be both. I think that would cause an identity problem.
The term started as an culture awareness thing, and in its time it was a great idea. It helped to give Blacks a sense of pride in there ancestral heritage. Since for so long they were stepped on and held down. All the cultures represented in America should honor their ancestral roots. However, we are are all Americans and should be proud of the fact that even though this country is not perfect it has the best of opportunities and freedoms of any where in the world.
Can you imagine if every cultural group wanted their ancestry included on let's say an application. It could get out of hand. Irish American,Italian American, Samoan American, Welsh American and about 190 others not to mention the variations for example Welsh/Austrian/Catawba Indian American. There would be no room left on a job or credit application for your name or address.
I think it's time we all came together as Americans and celebrate what made this country great and that would be the chance to do great things that are not possible in other places of the world. The fact that we are Black, White, Latino, Asian or whatever is not important. What is important is that we are Americans. We have rights and freedoms unmatched anywhere. Perfect, no...but awful close.
We need to stand together as Americans and protect our country from those who would seek to destroy us.

I found some interesting history information at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_american if you would like to look. It shows how far we have come.We still have a lot of work to do.Lets do it as one voice.

Black or White..Who Cares

In the discussions I have with my black friends about Barack Obama when I express my doubts about his abilities to be President the first thing I'm asked is "do you not want him to be President because he is a black man"? No, not at all. They did not listen to what I said, I said that he does not in my opinion have the experience and the ability to execute the office of the President of the U.S. It has nothing to do with color. I think this is a big sticking point. Really, and I can't speak for all white people, but I don't think that Obama's color has anything to do with it. There are in my opinion better qualified blacks than Obama to run for President. I like to turn the original question around. Are you supporting Obama because he is black or because do you think he is the best person for the job? I generally get a blank look at first then the answer "No, not because he is black". I then ask what qualifications does he have to be President? The answer I get "He has plans and ideas to change America for the good". Unfortunately no one yet has given me a viable answer other than "Change". Give me a break how many politicians have used that one. What kind of change? Am I overly excited about McCain, no not really, but with him I think it's what you see is what you get. McCain seems to have stability and experience in the real world not youthful idealism. Bottom line I don't think that real Americans with any responsibility will even accept what seems like the media making a race issue out of this. Remember they have their own agenda. Sales, money and greed. How many times has the media got it wrong?
I remember something I learned a long time ago. When your listening to something close your eyes to block out the visual interference and concentrate on just the audio or what the speaker is saying. Maybe some people should give this a try with the candidates when they are speaking. They might hear what they have been missing.
Personally I'm tired of all the junk I hear and the blah blah blah opinionated news reporting.
